Rachel Johnson

Rachel concentrates her practice on a range of litigation matters, including defense of Class 1 railroads, corporate clients, municipalities, police departments, and police officers in state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Mohan Groble Scolaro, Rachel worked as a trial attorney with the public defender agency of Massachusetts, the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS). In her time with CPCS, Rachel’s practice included civil commitment defense, appellate work, and criminal defense. Rachel gained valuable trial experience, trying over 100 bench trials. She appeared before the District, Superior, and Supreme Judicial Courts of Massachusetts. She also represented clients in felony criminal matters, in preparation for jury trials. Rachel’s work with the public defenders earned her a peer-elected “Emerging Defender” Award.

Rachel graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law, receiving the Presidential Academic Scholarship.

Rachel is proficient in written and spoken Spanish, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Michigan.
