The Mohan Groble Scolaro trial team featuring Sean Sullivan secured a Cook County jury victory for a railroad client after more than a week of trial and almost six years of litigation. The case involved a claim that 40 plus years as a worker had exposed the Plaintiff to asbestos leading to his cancer, but a well-thought-out scientific defense convinced the jurors that the client railroad was not negligent and that the plaintiff’s work environment did not cause his cancer.

Opposing counsel asked the jury for $10 M in their opening and closing arguments. This was one Plaintiff of a six Plaintiff lawsuit where all claims have now been disposed of in the client’s favor.
